Nutrition with Nicky is currently in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. All appointments are done virtually through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. If you do not have insurance or are covered by a provider we are not in-network with, we also accept private pay.

 Insurance FAQs

Nutrition services are widely covered by many insurance companies. The Affordable Care Act improved access to preventive services to the general public. You can contact your insurance provider following the steps below to find out the eligibility of benefits or what coverage they offer for nutrition counseling services. 

  • Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card. If the representative asks for CPT codes, provide them with the following codes: 97802 and 97803.

  • If the representative asks for the name of the provider, give them your dietitians name along with the NPI number: Nicole Mobley, NPI: 1588255640

    If the dietitian is not covered under your insurance plan and is considered out of network, I do accept private pay clients.

  • If a diagnosis code is requested provide the representative with the code Z71.3. Some insurance carriers have different criteria and require a qualifying diagnosis. If Z71.3 is not accepted ask the representative to check code E66.3 

  • During the phone call, ask your representative how many covered sessions are allowed per year and ask if it is a benefit year or calendar year. If it is a benefit year ask for the dates.

  • Lastly, ask the representative if a referral is needed. Before ending the call ask for the representatives name and the reference number to the call.
